Based on the DB9 platform, predecessor of the DB11, the 2012 Aston Martin DBS was a high-performance grand tourer vehicle built from the 2008 to 2012 model years. In that final year of its existence, the Carbon Edition was born. We’ve got one of these late models available right now here at Prestige Imports, for sale in North Miami Beach FL. We figured this special edition model would make a good subject for our next spotlight blog.

Performance Specs & Premium Features
Firstly, let’s go over what the Carbon Edition adds to this DBS Volante (or convertible). It features 10-spoke gloss black diamond turned wheels with yellow brake calipers, a warm black grille, carbon fiber mirror heads and rear lamp in-fills, smoked rear lights, obsidian black semi-aniline leather upholstery, leather-quilted headlining, carbon fiber trim, a special plaque, Garmin satellite navigation and beam blade windscreen wipers. Other available add-ons that the initial owner opted for include a premium alarm system and the 6-speed Touchtronic 2 transmission with electronic shift-by-wire control.
The 5.9L V12 engine enables the DBS Volante to generate 510 horsepower alongside 420 pound-feet of torque, enabling it to hit 60 miles per hour from a complete stop in just 4.3 seconds. That’s some pretty impressive power and performance.
Of course, the Carbon Edition additions and powertrain aren’t the only things the DBS has to offer. It’s packed with plenty of great premium features, such as the Bang & Olufsen 1,000-watt BeoSound audio system featuring 13 speakers and some great audio-enhancing technologies. Other highlights include the power-folding, heated mirrors with memory feature, halogen projector-beam headlights with high-intensity discharge dipped beams and power washers, variable intermittent windshield wipers and so much more.
