2021 Karma GS-6 and GSe-6: What to Know Before You Buy
This year, Karma revealed two new vehicles: the range-extended 2021 GS-6 and the all-electric 2021 GSe-6. We here at Prestige Imports in North Miami Beach, FL, will be happy to walk you through exactly what differentiates these vehicles and what might make you want to chose one vehicle over the other. More affordable than the Revero GT line, the GS-6 and GSe-6 present a high-performance luxury experience rarely seen at this price range. Let’s take a look.
Here are the differences between the 2021 Karma GS-6 and the GSe-6.
Range and Battery Size Comparison
The two biggest differences between the GS-6 and GSe-6 are the range and the maximum battery pack size. Take a look:
2021 Karma GS-6 | vs | 2021 Karma GSe-6 |
360 mi* | Range | 300 mi |
28-kWh / 1.5L generator | Max Battery Pack | 110-kWh |
*80-mile all-electric range; 360-mile figure is with operation of 1.5L generator.
As you can see, the 2021 GS-6 technically has a longer range than the 2021 GSe-6. However, the GS-6 requires the use of its 1.5L generator to achieve that number. This means that the GS-6 is not a zero-emissions vehicle. The generator only produces electricity, though, meaning that only electric motors still propel the vehicle. The GSe-6, on the other hand, is entirely electric. It has no on-board generator and must be charged either at home or a public charging station. It is a zero-emissions vehicle.
