Lamborghini is all about pushing the boundaries of the sports car market, like when the company introduced the world’s first Super Sport Utility Vehicle, the Lamborghini Urus, not long ago. Now, the company is introducing a limited-edition hybrid super sports car, combining the brand’s iconic V12 engine with groundbreaking new technologies to form a hybrid powertrain that speaks to the future of the brand. We thought we’d cover some of the specs & features that make the vehicle so incredibly special.
“The Sian is a masterpiece in possibilities. Not only does the Sian deliver a formidable hyper-car design and engineering tour de force today, it augments the potential for Lamborghini as a super sports car brand for tomorrow and for decades to come, even as hybridization becomes more desirable and inevitably essential. The Lamborghini Sian represents the first step in Lamborghini’s route to electrification, and expedites our next-generation V12 engine. Its Sian moniker, meaning “flash or lightning’ in Bolognese dialect, denotes the first electrification of a Lamborghini production car and confirms our strong connection to the territory in which we operate. With the Sian, Automobili Lamborghini demonstrates its dynastic strength as a legendary super sports car brand for the future.”

Hybrid Powertrain Details
For the first time in the world, Lamborghini has utilized a supercapacitor as a hybrid solution and a unique materials-science application. This leads to an unprecedented combination of thermal and electric power that not only makes the Sian impressively efficient for a super sports car but makes it the most powerful Lamborghini vehicle ever produced. It’s capable of generating 819 horsepower and, thanks to having the lowest weight-to-power ratio ever found in a V12 Lamborghini engine, it can get from 0 to 62 miles per hour in less than 2.8 seconds and go onto hit a top speed in excess of 217 miles per hour.
Only 63 units of this limited series vehicle will be built, in honor of the year that Automobili Lamborghini came into being, and they’ve all already been sold. But the Sian is a great glimpse into what Lamborghini models of the future will have to offer, so for that, we cannot wait. We have more to talk about where the Sian is concerned, so be sure to check back on our blog in the coming days for more information!
