Powered by a 5.4L rear-mounted V8 engine, the Ford GT is capable of generating 550 horsepower alongside 500 pound-feet of torque. Tested by Car and Driver, the Ford GT is capable of accelerating from a complete stop up to 60 miles per hour in just 3.3 seconds. It can run a quarter-mile in 11.8 s and has a top speed of 205 mph. Those are some pretty impressive numbers, and certainly the reason why we find the Ford GT so fascinating.
While performance is certainly the GT’s biggest claim to fame, the powertrain isn’t the only thing the vehicle has to offer. There are plenty of features throughout the vehicle that make it a great option all around.
