Then Lamborghini introduced the Huracan Performante, it was to represent the very pinnacle of the Huracan lineup. Having been around since 2014 and featuring a host of special editions models, the Performante was to outperform them all and become the zenith of the nameplate. But now, Lamborghini has outdone themselves, by combining everything the Huracan Performante stood for with everything the Huracan Spyder has to offer. Thus, a new icon was born, the 2019 Lamborghini Huracan Performante Spyder.
Although the brand-new Aventador SVJ has since taken hold of the title, the Huracan Performante Spyder managed to break the lap record at the Nurburgring -Nordschleife back when it was first introduced. Designers made sure to engineer the perfect combination of performance and driving dynamics with the added bonus of fresh air, thanks to the convertible.
“The Huracan Performante Spyder takes the zenith of Huracan developments, combined with the enhanced emotion of driving a convertible. The Huracan Performante already provides the most heightened feedback and emotion from road and track, and the Huracan Performante Spyder puts the driver even closer to asphalt and air, as well as the unique resonance of a naturally-aspirated Lamborghini engine.”
- Stefano Domenicali, Chairman & CEO, Automobili Lamborghini
Powered by a 5.2L V10, obviously naturally aspirated, the Huracan Performante Spyder is capable of generating 640 horsepower at 8,000 rpm. That kind of power enables the convertible to hit 62 miles per hour in just 3.1 seconds, which is only 0.3 seconds slower than the new Aventador SVJ. The HPS can then go onto hit a top speed of over 202 mph. Additionally, you can come to a complete stop from 62 mph in just over 100 feet. Performance is further enhanced by features like Aerodinamica Lamborghini Attiva 2.0. If you’re interested in one of these incredible machines, be sure to get in touch with us right away.
