2018 Lamborghini Urus Exterior Passenger Side Front Profile vs 2018 Tesla Model X Exterior Driver Side Profile

On today’s market, one of the most talked about high-performance utility vehicles is without a doubt the Tesla Model X. Tesla managed to not only make a high-performance luxury vehicle that’s stylish and sporty, but they made it with an all-electric powertrain. Now that Lamborghini has introduced the first-ever Super Sport Utility Vehicle, it seems like the Tesla Model X would be a natural rival. So, let’s see how these to juggernauts measure up to one another by comparing the 2018 Lamborghini Urus vs 2018 Tesla Model X.

In order to make this comparison, we’ve compiled some important specifications into the table below, which will allow us to see how these two utility vehicles truly measure up to one another. Read on below the table for our row-by-row analysis of the comparison.

Advantages of the 2018 Urus

We wanted to start off with performance, of course, as that is obviously an important factor in high-performance vehicles like these. Unfortunately for the Tesla Model X, it’s base trim level just can’t compete with the Lamborghini Urus, as it hits 62 miles per hour a full 1.3 seconds slower than the world’s first SSUV. Furthermore, the Lamborghini Urus can hit a top speed of 35 miles per hour faster than the Model X.

The Tesla Model X certainly fires back with a huge advantage of its own, however, in the form of cargo capacity behind the back row of seats. The Urus only offers 21.8 cubic feet of space, while the Model X blows that out of the water with 88 cu. ft. That’s more than four times as much space as the Lamborghini SSUV offers, unfortunately.

But there is one field in which the Tesla model just cannot compete with the Urus: range. The Model X is a true marvel of all-electric driving, but while it’s 147-mile range is impressive in and of itself, it simply cannot compete with the Urus’s 419-mile driving range.
