Without a doubt the most exciting thing that has happened this model year in the exotic sector of the automotive industry was the unveiling of the world’s first Super Sport Utility Vehicle, the 2018 Lamborghini Urus. We’ve covered a lot of the vehicle’s different aspects, but it’s time we start to see how it measures up to other luxury and premium utility vehicles on the market, and we thought we’d start things off by comparing it to the 2018 Porsche Cayenne.
In particular, we pitted the 2018 Lamborghini Urus vs 2018 Porsche Cayenne Turbo and compiled a few of the more important and exciting specifications into the table below. Give it a gander, and then keep reading for a more in-depth look at each row.
2018 Lamborghini Urus |
vs |
2018 Porsche Cayenne |
---|---|---|
650 HP | Horsepower | 550 HP |
3.6 s | 0-62 mph | 3.9 s |
189 mph | Top Speed | 177 mph |
21.75 cu. ft. | Cargo Capacity | 26.3 cu. ft. |
Right out of the gate, the Urus fires off with a pretty hefty advantage. The Porsche Cayenne Turbo is no slouch, offering a massive 550 horsepower, unfortunately, that’s still 100 HP short of the first ever SSUV. In the second row, we head to the track, where the Lamborghini hits 62 miles per hour in just 3.6 seconds. Again, the Cayenne is impressive, but still three-hundredths of a second short. The extra horsepower also allows the Urus to hit a top speed of 13 miles per hour more than the Porsche Cayenne, which is a nice bonus if you’re going to spend a lot of time on the track.
The one area where the Cayenne fires back is in cargo capacity, as its cargo hold is a bit more spacious than that of the Urus, by 4.55 cubic feet to be exact. If you’re looking for a more powerful utility vehicle and are willing to give up a bit of space to get it, then consider the 2018 Urus and get in touch with us right away!
