While the Lamborghini Urus is the first of its species – Super Sport Utility Vehicle – in the world, there are still plenty of premium utility vehicles out there on the market predating it. While you can find all kinds of specific details regarding the 2018 Urus on our blog, we haven’t done a lot of comparing it to those competitors that do exist in adjacent segments. So we thought we’d do a little bit of that by comparing the 2018 Lamborghini Urus vs 2018 BMW X6.
The BMW X6 is a midsize luxury crossover that packs a hefty punch alongside its plethora of great content both inside and out. To see how the new Urus measures up to it, we’ve put together the table below, highlighting just a few of the most important specifications we think you should consider when shopping in this class.
2018 Lamborghini Urus
2018 BMW X6
|650 HP||Horsepower||445 HP|
|3.6 s||0-62 mph||4.6 s|
|190 mph||Top Speed||155 mph|
|19 mpg||Combined Fuel Efficiency||17 mpg|
Working our way through it from the top, we start off by looking at power, an area in which the Urus excels by offering over 200 horsepower more than the X6. That is a massive advantage and you would certainly notice a different in the driving experience if you were to drive them back to back yourself. You can even tell what kind of a difference it makes by reading onto the next two rows.
The second row looks at acceleration by seeing how fast each car can hit 62 miles per hour, while the third row looks at the maximum speed each SUV can hit. The Lamborghini Urus can hit 62 mph a full second faster than the BMW X6, and can hit a top speed of 35 mph faster. Surprisingly, however, one of the setbacks that is usually accompanied with such a huge power advantage isn’t present here. Normally, a vehicle that gives up that much power will make up for it in terms of fuel efficiency. But the Urus gets two extra miles to the gallon as well.
This comparison turned out to be somewhat of a blowout, so if you’re interested in a 2018 Lamborghini Urus of your own be sure to get in touch with us.
