Lately we’ve been trying to reassert focus on the Karma Revero, not just because it’s a new vehicle but because it is an incredible vehicle that would make a great choice for anyone interested in trying out an exotic hybrid sports car. The Revero is one of just a few models belonging to its segment, but there are plenty of competitors out there in neighboring segments, like the all-electric sports cars of Tesla. We thought we’d see how the Revero measures up to industry icon by comparing the 2018 Karma Revero vs 2018 Tesla Model S.
In the table below, we take a look at a few of the most important specifications to consider when shopping for vehicles like these two. We’ve lined them up side-by-side so you can get a better idea of how each vehicle fares against the other, but we’ll go into further detail down below.
2018 Karma Revero |
Vs |
2018 Tesla Model S |
---|---|---|
403 HP | Horsepower | 518 HP |
50 miles | All-electric Range | 259 miles |
300 miles | Total Range | 259 miles |
5.4 s | 0-60 | 4.2 s |
As you can see, Tesla has its iron grip on the industry for pretty good reasons. The Karma Revero’s 403 horsepower is impressive for a hybrid powertrain, yet even still it becomes dwarfed by the Model S’s extra 115 HP. That advantage then helps lead to the advantage that appears further down the table in the fourth row, in that the Tesla vehicle can hit 60 mph just a bit faster than the Revero.
However, the waters get a bit murky in the two middle rows, which look at range. Tesla models are known for being all-electric yet delivering range on par with many plug-in hybrid models. That’s why Karma’s impressive 50-mile all-electric range doesn’t seem as impressive as it normally does here. However, this Model S can only travel 259 miles total, while the Revero can press on for an extra 41 miles after that.
Beyond these numbers, the Revero has a ton of great content inside and out that make it a great choice. If you’d like to learn more, don’t hesitate to give us a call here at Prestige Imports.
