When the creators and engineers behind the Karma Revero set out on their journey to create the exotic plug-in hybrid vehicle, they set some lofty goals in terms of competitors. If you’ve been browsing our website, you might’ve read a comparison pitting the Revero against the Aston Martin Rapide S, not exactly a comparison one might expect. Neither is this one, in which we pit the 2018 Karma Revero vs 2018 Maserati Quattroporte.
The Quattroporte is another vehicle that Revero’s builders set their sights on while they were designing the reimagined Fisker Karma. While the Quattroporte is certainly a better match than the Rapide S, it’s still not a spot-on competitor consider the Quattroporte isn’t a plug-in hybrid, or any kind of hybrid for that matter.
2018 Karma Revero
2018 Maserati Quattroporte
|20 mpg||Combined Fuel Efficiency||17 mpg|
|50 miles||Electric Driving Range||N/A|
|403 HP||Horsepower||424 HP|
|6.9 cu. ft.||Cargo Capacity||18.7 cu. ft.|
Regardless, we put together the table above to show you that these two vehicles are actually quite comparable to one another, each with its own advantages. It’s no surprise that the Karma Revero has a boost in fuel efficiency, considering its hybrid nature. With an extra 3 miles to the gallon, you’ll save a bit more money at the pump than you would behind the wheel of a Maserati Quattroporte. Of course, you’ve also got that added benefit of the 50-mile, all-electric driving range, which the Maserati simply doesn’t offer.
However, the Quattroporte does have a boost in power, though not as steep as the Aston Martin’s is with only an extra 21 horsepower. The two vehicles perform quite similarly to one another, though 21 horsepower would likely be noticeable if driven back to back. One advantage that the Maserati certainly has is space, as its trunk nearly triples the amount of room offered by the Karma Revero. If you can over look this and the slight dip in power, then consider getting in touch with us to purchase a 2018 Karma Revero of your own.
