From 2008 to 2017, the Ferrari California was the brand’s grand tourer convertible. It built quite the legacy for itself, which certainly fed into its successor when it was introduced for the 2018 model year. Today, the company’s grand touring convertible sports car is the Ferrari Portofino, a two-door hard top convertible adopting a 2+2 configuration. Although it is still a very young vehicle with only a few years under its belt, we’ve seen quite a few of these snazzy models pass through our inventory here in North Miami Beach FL.
Having made its debut at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show, the convertible has turned plenty of heads already. Typically, we utilize this section to cover all of the different models in which the nameplate is available, but the Portofino is so young that it doesn’t yet have any special editions or old trim levels to consider. So, instead, we’ll cover some of the vehicles impressive specifications.
Powered by the same 3.9L twin-turbo V8 engine that powers the GTC4Lusso T, the Ferrari Portofino is slightly de-tuned. It’s capable of generating 592 horsepower alongside 561 pound-feet of torque, which in turn enables it to accelerate from a complete stop up to 62 miles per hour in 3.5 seconds, or from 0 to 124 mph in 10.8 s, and to hit a top speed of 199 mph.
If you’re looking for any further reasoning to purchase a Portofino of your own, the vehicle received the Red Dot: Best of the Best award for design in July of 2018. Be sure to check out our inventory if you think you might be interested in a used Portofino of your own. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, don’t hesitate to give us a call. We’d be happy to keep our eyes peeled for you!
