For the 2020 model year, the Cadillac brand got rid of their midsize luxury sedan in favor of a new model, as they continued to adapt their nomenclature to a new method. Gone was the CTS, in was the brand-new CT5. While the vehicle is still quite new, we’ve seen a few used Cadillac CT5 models pass through our inventory here in North Miami Beach FL. So, if it sounds like a vehicle you might be interested in, be sure to check out our online inventory to see what we’ve got in stock.
Before we dive into the different Cadillac CT5 models, of which there are a few despite the model being so young, we thought we’d briefly touch on the CTS as it is the predecessor to the CT5. The Cadillac CTS passed through three generations throughout its tenure on the lineup from 2003 to 2019. It had plenty of different variants and special edition models to choose from, so if you’re interested in that classic style and name, be sure to check our inventory for them instead. If you’d prefer the newer models, you’re in luck, as we’ve seen more of them lately than the alternative. While the CT5 has only one body style and layout, it has a couple different engine options to choose from, including a 237-horsepower 4-cylinder engine and a more powerful 3.0L twin turbocharged V6 capable of generating up to 335 horsepower. That second engine gets a power boost when it’s beneath the hood of the high-performance variant of the CT5, known as the CT5-V. The V Series of vehicles have been around for generations with the Cadillac brand. They’re high-performance variants of their traditional vehicles, and the CT-5 is capable of generating up to 360 horsepower alongside 405 pound-feet of torque. In addition, there’s a new CT5-V Blackwing variant that’s an even higher performance variant of the model, meant to be a true spiritual successor to the widely popular CTS-V. It’s powered by a 6.2L V8 engine that can generate an impressive 668 hp and 659 lb-ft. of torque. According to Cadillac, it can accelerate from 0-60 mph in 3.7 seconds and hit a top speed of 209 miles per hour! If you think you might be interested in a Cadillac CT5 of your own, keep your eyes on our inventory. Don’t hesitate to give us a call to let us know what you’re looking for, either!
