We’ve got a really cool vehicle to spotlight today, a vintage Jaguar XJ220 circa 1993. The XJ220 was a two-seat sports car that was only produced from 1992 to 1994, with only 282 models being built in that time. At the time, it was the fastest production car int eh world, thanks to a top speed recorded at 212.3 miles per hour during testing in Italy. Performance Specs & Premium Features
The production version of the vehicle, which was based on an earlier concept car, is powered by a 3.5L twin-turbocharged V6 engine. It’s capable of generating 542 horsepower alongside 475 pound-feet of torque. All of that power enables the vehicle to get from a complete stop at 0 up to 60 miles per hour in just 3.6 seconds, before continuing onto that top speed we mentioned earlier.
The two-seat cabin might not be outfitted with the kinds of features and technologies you’re used to today, but as a Jaguar it is certainly top of the line. The cabin is trimmed in leather, as are the sport seats. Premium features include electric windows, electrically adjustable heated side mirrors, air conditioning and green-tinted glazing. One of the most unique features of this Jaguar XJ220 is its dashboard, which curves onto the driver’s door and includes a secondary instrument binnacle. This thing included a clock, voltmeter and two other analog gauges.
