For the 2018 model year, Alfa Romeo has introduced a brand-new compact crossover called the Stelvio, with an expected release date of sometime this fall. The 2018 Stelvio promises to be a premium utility vehicle with a great blend of performance and everything SUV shoppers expect.<\/p>\n

To give you an idea of just how well the Stelvio blends the necessities of an SUV with the performance specs & features that premium buyers crave, we thought we\u2019d first cover the new Alfa Romeo model\u2019s utility and then its powertrain. While we don\u2019t yet have specific dimension specs for the Stelvio, we can tell from images that it will offer plenty of cargo capacity behind the back seat. Additionally, it will be equipped with 40\/20\/40 split-folding rear seats, maximizing the crossover\u2019s versatility.<\/p>\n

When it comes to power, the 2018 Stelvio will be equipped with a standard, all-aluminum 2.0L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine capable of doling out 280 horsepower alongside 306 pound-feet of torque and hitting a top speed of 144 mph. Tethered to an 8-speed automatic transmission, you know the Stelvio will deliver a fun driving experience each time you get behind the wheel. Additionally, it is rumored that there will be an available engine option capable of generating up to 505 horsepower.<\/p>\n
