But we also love to look back at the classics and see how we got to where we are today. One of the classic vehicles that always springs to mind for us is the Lamborghini Countach. The Lamborghini Countach from the 1981 film Cannonball Run<\/em> is now one of only 30 vehicles in the Library of Congress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Cannonball Run<\/em> Countach Enter Library of Congress<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Hagerty Drivers Foundation, which curates the National Historic Vehicle Register for the Library of Congress, officially recognized the 1981 Lamborghini Countach LP 400 S from the movie Cannonball Run<\/em> as a vehicle of national importance. Only vehicles that prove to be enduring symbols of American culture are inducted into the National Historic Vehicle Register. To date, there are only 30 vehicles that have received the honor, with the 1981 Countach being the latest inductee. As part of being inducted, a vehicle has all of its \u201cinformation, files, history and 3D scans\u201d stored in the Library of Congress for posterity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can see the 1981 Lamborghini Countach LP 400 S in National Historic Vehicle Register<\/a> alongside other famous vehicles, like the 1981 De Lorean Dmc-12 from Back to the Future<\/em>, the 1985 Modena Spyder from Ferris Bueller\u2019s Day Off<\/em>, and the 1927 Ford Model T, just to name a few.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
