It isn\u2019t far away, and you can enjoy American crocodiles, green sea turtles and manatees, all from the comfort of your glass-bottom boat. We live in a beautiful place, which is pretty obvious from this vantage.<\/p>\n
4…3…2…1\u2026. Yes, this is where it all happened, and it\u2019s totally worth the drive. The three hours in the car only makes you respect the reasons why the place was chosen — it\u2019s remote, and on the ocean — only make the history of the whole endeavor more remarkable. Bring the whole family, if you have room.<\/p>\n
There is a history to the riverboat idea, and even if it\u2019s somewhat kitschy, it\u2019s worth preserving. Florida wasn\u2019t always \u201ccool,\u201d after all, and sometimes it\u2019s fun to enjoy a setting that reminds us of what our predecessors were doing.
