Fort Lauderdale Turkey Trot 2016<\/span><\/a> | Thursday, November 24th<\/span><\/h3>\n

Now celebrating its sixth year, the Fort Lauderdale Turkey Trot is already taking registration for this race. The day consists of a 5k run\/walk and a Kids\u2019 Dash, with awards going to top overall male and female finishers, top-three age group winners, and the winner of the Costume Contest.<\/span><\/p>\n

Turkey Day Run Miami<\/span><\/a> | Thursday, November 24th<\/span><\/h3>\n

Once of South Florida\u2019s most popular Thanksgiving runs takes place in and around Tropical Park, and features both a 5k and a 10k option. It\u2019s put on as a group effort between Baptist Health and Publix, and also offers a Turkey Day Kids Trot for kids aged two to nine years of age.<\/span><\/p>\n

Boca Raton Turkey Trot<\/span><\/a> | Thursday, November 24th<\/span><\/h3>\n

If you\u2019re located north of the metro area, you might prefer to take part in the Boca Raton races, which also take place on the Thursday of Thanksgiving. Sponsored by the Adolph and Rose Levis JCC, this race is entering its eighth year, and features a 5k run\/walk and a 1-mile fun run.<\/span><\/p>\n

Key West 5k Hot Trot<\/span><\/a> | Saturday, November 26th<\/span><\/h3>\n

Yes, this one is a little further away, but bear with us here. You know exactly what chaos the roads and sidewalks of Miami will look like on Thanksgiving weekend, right? So why not take a weekend in the Keys instead, and go for a nice run while you\u2019re there? We\u2019re guessing that you\u2019re totally convinced.<\/span><\/p>\n
