We\u2019ve gotten a sneak peek at the next new vehicle from Lamborghini<\/a>, as a camouflaged supercar took to the famous (perhaps infamous) N\u00fcrburgring racetrack. Driven by Marco Mapelli, the debuting Lamborghini didn\u2019t just go for a casual stroll, it set a brand-new lap record for the grueling N\u00fcrburgring Nordschleife, finishing in 6:44.97 minutes. As it turns out, the camouflaged vehicle is the next Lamborghini model to adopt the SVJ name, as it\u2019s rumored that we\u2019ll see the official debut of the 2019 Lamborghini Aventador SVJ (or Superveloce Jota) in August.<\/p>\n

Its tenure as the N\u00fcrburgring lap time record holder, even before its unveiling during the Monterey Car Week in California in August, endorses Lamborghini\u2019s competence in applying superlative design engineering and ground-breaking technologies. What do we know so far?<\/h3>\n

As per usual, details are very slim as of yet for the new Lamborghini vehicle. We know that the SVJ was designed to generate a higher output of power, with more lightweight materials than previous Aventador models<\/a>. Lamborghini has confirmed its weight-to-power ratio is 1.98 kg\/hp. We also know that it features the ALA 2.0 active aerodynamics system, which includes aero vectoring in order to deliver the best possible handling and downforce. Lamborghini has stated that new aerodynamic-enhancing features will be introduced specifically for the SVJ as well. The team also completely re-engineered the Aventador SVJ in order to improve things like its electronic stability control, steering and the drive system.<\/p>\n
